Senior Day at Frankies Fun Park

I can't believe I havnt written since Oct. 22. We went to Frankies Fun park last Thursday and all of the students had a good time. We went to Irmo town park and took lots of pictures and then we drove over to Frankies.
We had compliments from the staff on how well behaved our kids were. We were so proud of them. I think that they liked the go carts best of all. Im not going to say who won and who lost but lets just say some of the girls did really well. And Ben had a pink car. Im just throwing that out there.
We left and went across the road and ate at Applebees and was back at school right at the bell.
The football team traveled to Hong Kong China and played ball friday night. Well actually it was Moncks Corner but dang if it didnt feel like I was driving to China. We won but let me tell you it was cold. Each student was responsible for bringing a dish and they ate after the game.
We will be traveling to Taiwan This friday night. Oh I really mean Dillon. Why do we always have to go so far. ???
Anna Davis' family adopted the class this week and turbos family has thanksgiving. I think Ill go out there for that one. Let me know if there is something you want me to put it.

A busy week.

Well as you know, last week the poor little orphans didn't get adopted but this week they were. YEAH! Cody and Blakes moms did the honors. They have enjoyed their treats this week.
The football team went to Florence friday night to tackle JF Brynes Academy. Well lets just say that they were rooked. The officiating was terrible. The guys played so hard and everyone there was really pround of them but came up one point short. Kenny Shelton asked the Byrnes coach to pray after the game and he said no. I dont know if anyone has ever refused to pray with them. Oh well. This Friday the team will travel to Holly Hill. Holly Hill was supposed to come to us this year but instead they are paying for a charter to take our team there. I Think that they should have forfeited if they didnt want to come up here. But again Oh Well.
A bunch of the Seniors went to The State fair last night and had a ball. I think lots of junk food was consummed by all. The Senior day this year is going to be at Frankies fun Park in Columbia on I believe Nov 5. They will leave the school that morning and parents will be driving and return to campus at 2:45.

Poor Little Orphans!

The poor little orphans didnt get adopted this week. Imagine the sad little faces. Ms. Sherri Riley felt sorry for them and sent them muffins and drinks yesterday.
The senior night last friday night was really nice as far as weather is concerned. The game didnt come out like we wanted but the guys fought a hard fight.
Each senior athlete was escorted by their parents onto the field before the game. We took lots of pictures and each had on a smiling face.
Well I dont know anything else to say but the team travels to Florence Friday night to play football. Boy thats a long haul. Alex and Mary Nell are going onto Charleston from there to attend the open house at the College of Charleston on Saturday. If any of you know of anything that would be of interest just let me know and I will put it on the blog. I am planning on printing out the entire blog for each senior to have as a momento if they like.
Getting ready for the Harvest Carnival and the hay ride. Im sure they will have a good time doing that. It is one of the fund raisers for the prom which is coming up fast it seems.
If any of you want reduced tickets to Scarawinds, Bojangles has some coupons.

Getting ready for Senior Night

The week has gone by pretty fast. Ms Webb has adopted the hudlums for the week and as usual has provided some wonderful treats. Sausage balls sounded really good.
In case some of you didnt know, Mae Anne Webb was on TLC last night! She was so pretty and her mom was on there too... She even did a cheer at New Orleans Seafood company. And they thought she was shy. Ha we all know better...LOL
The cheerleaders are having blackout pep rally tomorrow in the gym. Nikki , Alex's dad, went out to the school this morning and covered up the windows in the gym. The things we do for these younguns!
Some of the class came out to my house Tuesday and cooked, yes cooked, spaghetti. And they did clean up my kitchen. It was actually cleaner when they left than when they got there. I think that today they are eating Tacos...I had hoped that they would leave some leftovers from the spaghetti but no they ate it all. Must have been good.
Come out to the football game Friday night. It will be our seniors last regular season home game. I cant believe that they are all seniors and Yeah I am glad that they are all seniors!

Ms Sherri Riley has this week!

Ms. Sherri Riley adopted your children this week! Yesterday she had homemade muffins and Alex said that they were wonderful. They are really enjoying their goodies.
I hope that none of you have the flu yet. Alex has been taking vitamin C so that might be a good idea. I know that they have the hand sanitizer in the classrooms this year.
Friday night the football team travels to Lake City to whip up on Carolina Academy. Im sure that they would like your support at the game. Next Friday night is the last home game and so it will be Senior Night.
We have only two weeks adopted for the month of October. Ms. Burns has the week of October 19 and Ms. Pat Berry has October 26.

Homecoming a big success!

The homecoming game started out a little drippy! The game was delayed due to lightening and thunder. (not spiller and Davis for all you clemson fans!) Our homecoming court was escorted onto the field and just let me say that I was so proud of them. They had smiles on their faces under unbrellas and in rainbows. Some of the girls were escorted by fathers, grandfathers, brothers and boyfriends. I cant believe that they are all seniors and ready to graduate. Nicole Brown was crowned maid of honor and Mae Ann Webb was Crowned 2009 homecoming queen. The football team played a good game and won. Beat the rival team of Richard Winn! Yeah. All of the students and guests that went to the dance afterward had a really good time I understand. I know alex and lyndsey did. They didn't get back to Gran Mommys house till 1:30am. Had to go to Waffle House to eat. Bruce Horne was the DJ and I think they really enjoyed his choice of music except some of the songs were a little long.
The Cheerleaders had a run through banner that they put inside because of the amount of work it took to complete. They were not about to let it get ruined. Mary Nell is going to email some pictures of it so that I can post it.
I know that Alex had a really good time this week with all of the wonderful treats that Ms Lisa Long provided. Katy mentioned to me at the ball game that she was really enjoying their treats. I am so glad that the parents are doing this.Ms Sherri Riley is taken on the adoptive duties for the coming week and I know that she will have a fun week planned for the "SILLY string gang" and all of the other seniors.
Well if any one has anything special just let me know and I will put it in the blog. I am so glad that some of you are reading it.
Alex Lindsey and Shelby took advantage of the USC open house today. We had a really informative and good time touring the campus and a few of the dorms. Any college that the students choose will take some getting use to. They are use to such a close knit family of students and a small school.

Class is really enjoying their treats.

Thanks to Ms. Lisa Long. She is really doing a great job this week as the adoptive parent.
She put up a flyer for each day letting the class know when and where their treats were going to be. She is already at school so this works really great for her. Ms. Long chose this week because it is Nicks birthday week so happy birthday to Nick.
In case yall didnt know it, Homecoming is this friday night at the school. This year they are doing something different. The cheerleaders have passed out twin sheets for each class to create homecoming banners. It seems to be going really good and the classes are really liking the getting involved mentality. Come out to the ball game and cheer the team on.
